Postdoctoral position in Forest Materials

• Mission

The work as a postdoc will primarily consist of research in characterization and application of carbon-based materials, which includes developing optimum conditions for the application of different 2D materials in bio-adhesives for manufacturing more sustainable and environmentally friendly wood-based composites.

• Skills

Qualified for the position is a person who holds a doctoral degree in polymer science, chemical engineering, bio-adhesive or in a relevant subject, or has a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctorate.
The position also requires excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as a good ability to work independently and in a group.
Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of carbon-based materials, polymeric materials and composites are meritorious. Good scientific publication rate and experience in applying for external project funding is desirable. A postdoc fellow is part of a research team; consequently, flexibility and an ability to cooperate and collaborate are given great importance. Documented experience of research in bio-adhesives synthesis and evaluations. In the overall assessment of the scientific skill, special emphasis is placed on the applicants' potential for a successful career as a teacher and researcher.
