  • Mission

The primary tasks of the position are to:
- lead the development of the research field within bio-based construction materials with a focus on wood, including developing experimental facilities, applying for funding, and engaging with the national and international research environment through collaboration, publication, and networking,
- teach courses and supervise students at all levels (including BSc, MSc, and PhD) in construction materials broadly and specifically in bio-based construction materials,
- integrate university-industry collaboration in teaching and research.

  • Skills

As a qualified candidate, you have a background in civil engineering, a research focus on wood and bio-based construction materials, and documented qualifications in research-based university teaching. You have experience in using and developing experimental techniques to investigate the performance of wood as a construction material. You value collaboration and interaction with other researchers and to disseminate research in seminars, conferences, and classrooms. You are experienced in developing project ideas, writing applications, and leading research projects.

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) as well as academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.
