We are seeking a dedicated PhD student to join our research team. This project addresses the critical debate regarding the long-term capacity of even-aged conifer-dominated forestry to produce biomass while sustaining essential ecosystem services

The doctoral project focuses on alternative approaches to production forests, specifically the restoration of broadleaved forests 

-Enhance the overall resilience of Swedish forests against projected climate change 
-Better balance the provision of forest ecosystem services 
-Provide vital habitats for forest biodiversity to ensure the delivery of ecosystem services over the next century 

  • Skills

We are looking for candidates with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities who can work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in transdisciplinary studies and ecosystem service assessments is beneficial 
-Demonstrated capacity to express yourself fluently in English, both orally and in writing
